Classes and Workshops

Sessions
All sizes and shapes welcome! No experience necessary for beginner classes. Confirm with the venue for current class times and availability. Early registration is recommended, some classes fill quickly. No refunds for missed classes.
All sessions include warm up, dance technique and choreography and/or freestyle dancing (freedom of movement.) The usual length of sessions is four weeks and six weeks and is ongoing with the exception of time off in the summer and again for winter holidays. All classes meet once a week.

Class Attire
Wear comfortable workout type clothing such as yoga pants and a tank top. Please NO jeans or baggy shirts. No shoes needed.
Also, a hip scarf or shawl to tie around your hips is helpful in visualizing movement. You may bring your own or purchase one from our available selection. Any classes that require props will have that listed in the description.
Workshops
Troupe Sabba Zimora occasionally brings in guest instructors for workshops open to the public. These workshops will vary and be geared toward the advanced beginner with some experience.
Brenda offers workshops tailored to the hosts needs. They can range from short introductions to belly dance, to general choreography and choreography with props. They may last one hour to three hours. Price vary depending on location, times, and type of workshop desired. Hotel accommodation is usually required.
Payment
Unless indicated otherwise, payment is made to the venue in which classes are held. Check or cash is preferred; credit is a last option when available.
